If I am sending the same DVD with the same message to different clients over time, being able to just access a template with boilerplate copy and attached files, have all the same privacy options, hit the send button, and boom.14 votes
We already have the ability to forward something you have previously uploaded. The current functionality won’t include the message or settings but it will keep the files and summary.
We have added http://help.digitalpigeon.com/forums/104089-product-suggestions/suggestions/9697050-include-message-and-existing-settings-when-forward in order to fill the gap.
Please add your votes to the linked suggestion.
Create folders like an FTP site, so clients can easily manage looking back through the history of the project and not have to search through old emails for links.
Also can you please look at including time next tot eh date for when the files were uploaded and sent.
Thank you3 votes
We feel that this is satisfied when you hover over the date when files are displayed. The time is displayed there.
The project concept is covered under: http://help.digitalpigeon.com/forums/104089-product-suggestions/suggestions/9698085-allow-for-project-or-job-based-file-delivery
Love to be able to put generic passwords either for individual email addresses or company email addresses (@whoknowswhere.com) so that I don't have to add a password to each individual send. It would stop other companies accessing files if it was sent in error.2 votes
We think that this is an interesting idea however the practicality of implementing something like this for a email domain would be quite difficult.
We are looking at implementing project concept that we feel would address the points raised in this suggestion. Projects only need to set recipients and a password once and can have multiple uploads contained within it.
The watermarking of preview files - specifically photographs. If a seller sends photos to a client for consideration, that client can screen grab those pictures and then use without the seller’s knowledge. Watermaking of the preview files would reduce the liklihood of this happening.2 votes
We have completed some discussions about this suggestion.
At this time we can’t see this being a feature that we be able to implement.
There are a number of ways in order to watermark files prior to having them uploaded to us. We should really let them do what they do best and allow us to do what we do best and deliver those files to people.
Create a group of multiple contacts, and a drop down menu when selecting the recipient.2 votes
We have another suggestion for this functionality.
Please cast your votes against the following item so that we can prioritise it’s development.
It would be nice to be able to choose the type of view mode for the sent/recieved files list. The default one i feel is a bit too big, id love for each entry to be a thrd of the size so i can see more ‘shipments’ at once :) (kinda like Gmails ‘comfortable/cozy/compact’ view modes).2 votes
We have looked into this further and in order to shrink the items more than they are now we would have to remove information that we feel is important to display.
We do however have functionality which will soon be deployed that will allow you to more easily filter the list of items.
Secure company VPCs. I struggle to get a wide adoption in the company because there is a push to put all IP on our servers because IT trust that more than an external provider. It then means we can't use a superior service like yours to send files.2 votes
Although we love this idea we just don’t have the resources to be able to successfully deliver or support it.
DLP - Data Loss Prevention
Let us define keywords. If a user tries to send a document containing any of the keywords, the user will not be allowed to send the document.1 vote
We think that while this is a good suggestion it isn’t something that we can reasonably deliver in the future.
Confirmation that the files have been received even if it hasn't been opened1 vote
We visually indicate any failed emails under the activity view.
The recipient will appear with a strikethrough in their email address and if we have the information we also display a failure reason.
Monitor folder and automatically send notification of new files loaded to the folder to a specific email address with a preset email subject line and message.1 vote
I would love to have the Contacts integrated with the Mac Address Book (and could also be integrated with other contacts managers as well). this would alleviate the necessity of adding names into yet another contacts list.1 vote
This functionality is currently supported if you use the desktop client.
If you are having issues with that please contact email@example.com
It would be great so see a progress bar showing the file actually downloading by your recipient/s.1 vote
Unfortunately it isn’t possible for us to report this information in real time.
The reported download functionality in the Activity View is as good as we can currently facilitate give existing technology.
The ability to manually change the server location of an uploaded file (eg. if you upload to the oceania server, be able to change to north america etc...)1 vote
We have this functionality as part of the CDN feature which is currently only available on the Enterprise plan.
We will soon be making the CDN feature available to more subscription levels.
Translating the app.1 vote
We plan on adding other language support in the future.
Allow a third party access to only *some* of your file notifications/activity notifications that they have an interest in - no access to files/activity they have no interest in.1 vote
Given that additional users add cost to an account and that our current multi-user functionality is collaborative we aren’t going to implement this suggestion.
Our multi-user functionality really assists people working together at the same company to send their files to others.
We do have plans in the works to increase the functionality available to recipients. Stay tuned for more information regarding this.
Add email addresses in the same domain for uploads, so that a company with one digital pigeon account can have files sent to someone else in that domain. Emails could be sent to both the administrator email address and the other receiver.1 vote
We would prefer to have this functionality handled through the contact groups option rather than a wild card for a domain.
Please see http://help.digitalpigeon.com/forums/104089-product-suggestions/suggestions/5641121-implement-contact-groups for the contact groups suggestion.
Keychain support for OSX desktop and IOS apps so passwords are stored and used automatically.1 vote
We recently fixed an issue with the desktop application sets the expiry time for login to 180 days.
Can you please let us know if this doesn’t solve the issue.
CC and BCC fields on emails.0 votes
Unfortunately due to the way Digital Pigeon works you can’t CC or BCC on emails. You can however select ‘Permission’ → ‘View recipients’ to allow recipients to see each others activity.
Auto shutdown or suspend computer after upload finishes0 votes
Sorry but this isn’t something that we have on the road map for the product as we have to support a number of different platforms and configurations.
You can however accomplish the same end goal by setting your computer to sleep after a particular time of inactivity.
If there are uploads happening in the Digital Pigeon application this will prevent the sleep state from triggering.
a service like dropbox!0 votes
It’s a great idea but we just don’t have the resources to compete with the likes of Dropbox, Google Drive and Apple iCloud head on. If anything we’ll be adding support for Dropbox within the app (e.g. ‘Add files from Dropbox’).
- Don't see your idea?
