The Digital Pigeon desktop app has become unstable, how do I fix it?

The first thing to try is to remove the local data files for the Digital Pigeon app. To do this follow these few steps (make sure the app is closed before starting);

Mac OS X

Please note: Version 4 is available addressing the recent stability issues. Unfortunately it's not an auto-update. Please download and install the new version available from our apps page.
  1. Open Finder and click the 'Go' menu.
  2. Hold down the 'option' key and you should see a 'Library' menu item appear, click 'Library' (you can now let go of the 'option' key).
  3. Find and open the 'Application Support' folder.
  4. Find and open the 'Digital Pigeon CEF' (or 'Digital Pigeon' for older versions of the app) folder.
  5. Delete the contents of this folder (e.g. drag it into trash).
  6. Now re-start the Digital Pigeon app and see if the issues are resolved.

Windows

  1. Open Windows Explorer and click into the 'Address Bar'.
  2. Enter "%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Digital Pigeon CEF" (or "%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Digital Pigeon" for older versions of the app) and press the enter key.
  3. Delete the contents of this folder (e.g. drag it into trash).
  4. Now re-start the Digital Pigeon app and see if the issues are resolved.

If that doesn't help please feel free to to contact support for assistance.
