Custom domains is an advanced custom branding feature of Digital Pigeon that replaces the standard custom URL feature used to access your files (e.g. mycompany.digitalpigeon.com) with your own domain name (e.g. files.mycompany.com).
To configure your custom domain follow these steps;
- First make sure that your subscription includes access to the custom domain feature. As the owner of the account log into Digital Pigeon and head to 'Manage' -> 'Account'. If your subscription supports a custom domain you'll see a 'Domain' section toward the bottom of the 'Account Profile' section. If that section has the following message "Note: your subscription does not support this feature." you will need to change plans.
- Choose your desired custom domain carefully (e.g. files.mycompany.com).
- Ask your IT administrator to add a DNS CNAME record from your desired domain (e.g. files.mycompany.com) pointing to hosted.digitalpigeon.com.
- After your DNS entry has been updated (and not before) send an email to help@digitalpigeon.com with your chosen domain name (e.g. files.mycompany.com) and we'll provision your custom domain setup.
Please allow up to a week for us to provision your custom domain.
