What is the maximum number of files for a single upload?
All current plans are limited to a maximum of 2000 files per upload.
However, it is important to note to consider the file size along with the number of files. For a quick reference, individual upload size per plan is listed below:
- Essentials: 20 GB
- Freelancer: 50 GB
- Professional:200 GB
- Business: 200+ GB
It is worth noting that the total upload size limit is account wide and applies to Receive, Send and Share.
What if I want to upload more than 2000 files?
If you need to send a large volume of files that exceed the limit, we recommend to compress the files to Zip and upload it as one.
Use the links below on how to compress the files for the following operating systems:

Recipient Experience
Similar to other solutions (e.g. email, cloud storage, etc.), when an upload is flooded or a large number of files are attached, there is a tendency that your recipient will experience unpleasant delays when loading the files for preview and download.
Upload Performance
When uploading with a large number of smaller files, it affects the upload performance. This will drastically reduce the upload speed as each file will be transmitted individually. For each file, a "handshake" is performed before the data is transmitted, imagine doing this repeatedly with very minimal data being sent each time. This leads to the overhead of all the handshakes to increase overall transmission time. Therefore, compressing to a zip initially means a single handshake and an optimised transfer time.
